Her Canna Q&A with Carolyn Corrigal, The High Priestess Spirals

Carolyn Corrigal said: “My goal is to support and empower any and all individuals seeking to improve their health through natural and alternative methods.”

Describe yourself and what you do.

I am a multi-faceted creator, healer, and cannabis and wellness consultant who offers a unique approach to cannabis, shamanism, and whole health healing; combining ancient medicines with a modern lifestyle. Specializing in therapeutic, mindful cannabis, and plant medicine applications, and empowering deep personal transformations, my mission is to nourish the soul into improved health.

With my ever-expanding network of natural health practitioners, consultants, and creators, I’m able to offer or refer to a variety of the highest quality services, education, events and products. I also host a monthly cannabis wellness gathering for women in Red Deer in partnership with Ellementa to promote cannabis education, and access to trusted brands & resources.

When did you get started working with cannabis? What is your vision for your professional cannabis endeavors?

I began my cannabis career working with and managing a small not-for-profit compassion club, where I was mentored in therapeutic cannabis applications, various health conditions, and expanded my skills as a compassionate support agent. As a first point of contact to wellness focused clients and medical patients, I provided empowering information and resources to clients from all walks of life, many of whom were seniors, chronically ill, and some even diagnosed as terminal.

This experience further awoke my desire to find and fill the systematic gaps that vulnerable persons often fall through when experiencing hardship or illness. Although I tend to work with a lot of these types of vulnerable clients, my goal is to support and empower any and all individuals seeking to improve their health through natural and alternative methods.

What is your personal cannabis origin story?

Cannabis has been a long-time medicine for my personal wellness journey, starting from the time I was young. I took a break when I became a mother because I thought I “shouldn’t” be using cannabis, and then again returned to its therapeutic benefits upon the realization that I am indeed my best self when engaging mindfully with its use.

Cannabis has been a major part in me regaining my health and peace of mind and its benefit in my own life is what drew me to learning more and assisting others on their paths too.

What is your Superpower?

My super power is transformation. It is my purpose to support those that seek to deeply transform themselves and are willing to do the work it takes to become their best selves. When I work with a client who’s truly ready for change, my magick is full force!

What has been your greatest obstacle in this industry or with your business to date?

Cannabis in Canada is certainly going through some growing pains, even now as we’ve entered a realm of legalization. There have definitely been a number of obstacles that I continue to face. Where it used to be a lot about stigma and illegality, now the resistance is often rooted in systemic shortcomings and delays where we see cities with no legal access points, questionable tactics in illegal & legal productions, and the trusted grey market dispensaries many patients have come to rely on being shut down. Types of medicines and consumptions required for patients are often not available and many are confused about how to move forward with their wellness routines in this new world.

That’s why a lot of what I offer right now is consulting and education. People need to understand how our new system works and what steps are available to them to continue caring for themselves and their loved ones. I connect them to the tools and resources that may help them on this journey.

Cannabis has been a major part in me regaining my health and peace of mind and its benefit in my own life is what drew me to learning more and assisting others on their paths too.

What is your advice for women in the cannabis industry?

I love the feminine cannabis movement. How appropriate for a feminine plant medicine to be represented by powerful women! I would definitely encourage women interested in pursuing a career in cannabis to go for it. I’ve found on my way there to be many wonderful female mentors, advocates, and educators in this industry, many of whom are pleased to support each other and band together.
