Describe yourself and what you do.
I am an avid cannabis supporter and advocate for the education behind the plant, its medicinal properties and recreational benefits.
When did you get started working with cannabis? What is your vision for your professional cannabis endeavors?
I started working in a Canadian dispensary two years ago, in the golden era, prior to legalization. I saw the swift change and I see a future where there is no taboo and that the social stigmas have been lessened enough for people to enjoy and access cannabis thoroughly. I think we have such a massive movement underway. One in which people are understanding the medical, cultural, and commercial benefit of one specific plant, once demonized and rising from the judgmental ashes.
What is your personal cannabis origin story?
I discovered the power in the topical application of cannabis. I had my wisdom teeth out and couldn’t take the prescribed medication. I started making my own oils and found substantial benefit even using it externally on my jawline. I started making my own ointments and had so many followers right off the bat. It allowed me a tool to help people.
What is your Superpower?
Exploring rabbit holes. I don’t find them a waste of time. My research is thorough and digested and I have an insatiable appetite to do and learn more.
What has been your greatest obstacle in this industry or with your business to date?
Finding a platform that works in my location. The area I reside in has a prevalent history in cannabis and a wish to shine a light where people have been tucked away in grow houses and quieted conversation. I want to blow the lid off of this; it’s simply finding a way to engage an audience that already knows so much.
I have an insatiable appetite to do and learn more.
What is your advice for women in the cannabis industry?
I have high hopes for the women of this industry. I see an active presence in cannabis that is unparalleled in other lines of work. It reminds me that we can run the show with ease. Should someone just be entering the cannabis industry, I recommend education and perseverance. You will get the reward if you keep trying (same with using cannabis).
