“There is a lot of social stigma so we have to teach, teach, teach. Educating women about the amazing healing benefits of the cannabis plants is the only way to overcome it, and we are working on it everyday.”
Describe yourself and what you do.
I’m a health advocate who loves to read and learn about health and wellness and how I can improve my own life by making the right decisions about the food I eat. I also enjoy teaching other women about CBD and how it can support hormonal balance, giving us the ability to age beautifully and happy.
When did you get started working with cannabis?
I started working in this amazing industry about two years ago when I discovered the benefits of CBD through my friend and now business partner Jennie. CBD had such a positive impact on my life that my mission is to teach other women about CBD and how it can positively impact their lives as well. My vision is to make premium quality CBD products more accessible to women of all income levels.
Every heroine has an origin story, how she got started on the path she’s on. What is your cannabis origin story?
My friend Jennie and I have always suffered from terrible PMS, or premenstrual syndrome, which in her resulted in terrible pain every month, as opposed to mine which was more related to my mood and my emotions. We tried everything from traditional medication to alternative treatments; but nothing seemed to work until we discovered CBD.
What is your Superpower?
Multitasking. Between being a mother of two, a wife, and running a business, it takes a lot of multitasking to get a few things done every day.
What has been your greatest obstacle in this industry or with your business to date?
There is a lot of social stigma so we have to teach, teach, teach. Educating women about the amazing healing benefits of the cannabis plants is the only way to overcome it, and we are working on it everyday. Also the legal part of the business is complicated and we have to be on top of it; the majority of the banks won’t work with us; so the ones that do want to keep all the profits…
CBD had such a positive impact on my life that my mission is to teach other women about CBD and how it can positively impact their lives as well.
What is your advice for women in the cannabis industry?
About 80% of the consumers in this industry are women, so there are a lot of opportunities there. The potential of this industry is so huge that there is room for everybody! There’s a huge demand for great products out here, and consumers are tired of traditional medicine not working, creating dependency, and resulting in terrible side effects. Consumer want natural products that work and we need to create them. Women everywhere are gathering and helping each other in this industry because like I said before, there’s room for everybody and everybody’s ideas. We are beginning to form alliances and empower other women; and that itself is huge.
